Chicago looking to recoup $130G from Jussie Smollett

The city of Chicago says it lost around $130,000 investigating the false attack on Jussie Smollett, and sent him a letter demanding payment.

Meanwhile, the lawyers of Jussie Smollett are demanding an apology from Chicago’s police department for “dragging an innocent man’s character through the mud”. The cynicism may come to an end as FBI is also investigating Smollett’s use of the postal service to send himself a false hate letter.

Chicago’s Mayor Rahm Emanuel is furious with the surprising outcome of Tuesday’s hearing where Smollett was given a free pass on his fake hate crime. Somehow Smollett was able to use influence to get out of the charges without going to court.
