Puerto Rico’s governor Ricardo Rossello said on Thursday that if necessary he will punch the bully in the mouth, referring to President Trump.

President Trump has expressed opposition to giving more disaster money to Puerto Rico saying that “is way out of proportion to what Texas and Florida and others have gotten.”
Puerto Rico is well know to be a very corrupt country with a very corrupt government. It is not uncommon for government functionaries to ask for “el cafesito”, which represents 10% of a deal. Government officials usually favor deals that include “el cafesito” for them.
Politicians in the United States know what it represents to give Puerto Rico the statehood. Puerto Rico has more population than 25 of the states in the nation, and will have significant vote in the senate if it becomes a state, something not necessarily good for the country
On the other hand, perhaps it is time for the United States to own the mistake of colonizing Puerto Rico and convert it finally into a state, or at the very least let them vote for their president.
Even though puertorricans are US Citizens, for some strange reason they can’t vote in the presidential elections.
