Trump will join conference call with governors amid COVID-19 diagnosis

President Trump will be working Friday as he recovers from a mild case of coronavirus.

The commander-in-chief will jump on a 12:15 p.m. conference call with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and other governors, Cuomo told reporters.

Cuomo said the call would be concerning “healthcare-related issues,” and wished Trump and first lady Melania Trump a “speedy recovery.”

“Politics is politics and we can disagree on policy issues, but on a human level the president grew up in New York, from Queens,” he said. “I know the first lady, I’ve spoken with her. And I sincerely wish them the best — a speedy recovery.”

White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said the president, 74, is feeling “energetic” and will continue working while quarantining for 14 days.

He said Trump is experiencing “mild symptoms” after testing positive for COVID-19 overnight.
