Trump runs retro clip of Mike Pence honoring veterans on Memorial Day

President Trump linked to a video of Vice President Mike Pence honoring military veterans on Memorial Day on his former Indiana talk radio show and remarked: “So cool!”

“Wow. Our future V.P. So cool!,” the president tweeted on Tuesday.

The clip showed the veep, who hosted the syndicated “Mike Pence Show” in the 1990s before becoming a congressman from Indiana and then the state’s governor.

During the Memorial Day show, Pence addressed the veterans of America’s wars.

“Thanks to all of you listening – the men and women – whoever served this country in any shape, manner or form …
kept freedom alive for the world, for my generation of Americans, and for our posterity, I thank you,” he said.

“I just want to thank you because even though I’m at the tail end of the Baby Boomer generation, I’m supposed to be a cynic, I’m supposed to not appreciate you people, the sacrifices that you’ve made. I do. I thank God for you. The American flag will be flying out on the front step of the Pence house this weekend is for you,” Pence continued.
