A Texas elementary school principal, Jessica Sanchez, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly possessing cocaine on campus.
The Goose Creek Consolidated ISD has stated they will not tolerate such behavior in their schools, and the incident is being reported to the Texas Education Agency’s Division of Investigation.
Sanchez has been charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone and has posted a $5,000 bond.
Sanchez’s page on Travis Elementary’s official website has been removed. The district’s police department declined to comment.
Baytown is approximately 30 miles east of Houston.
